Thoughts on Skyward Sword

What do you think on the new Legend of Zelda? Looks pretty cool, especially with the Cel-shaded/Twilight Link, another fact is they're turning Link into Indiana Jones , I've actually pre ordered this baby

It is very good...but I will admit the colors are a bit "in your face" if you understand what I mean. I have had an opput. to play it at Evo and someother places. The camera angles are a bit rough in the beginning and if you haven't played Wii before it will be hard to get use to it!! But overall 8 out of 10

Honestly I was kinda hoping for some sort of Spiritual successor to Majora's Mask since that game's story left so many unanswered questions, but I know the chances for that are slim at best. I was still pleasantly surprised by Skyward Sword though. I hope it has some relation to Twilight Princess though since that game also ended in a bit of a cliffhanger. I wouldn't like it if they just ended it and never expanded on it further by giving any closure. Either way it's still a main series Zelda game which almost never disappoint ever and the fact that were even getting a new one on console is enough reason for me to be happy. I heard it's coming out in early 2011 which is good. Hopefully it won't get delayed or anything.

yeah, Twilight Princess did kinda end in a cliffhanger, and Majora's mask well, it continued off of OOt didn't it? I do believe they should continue any and all LOZ games that didn't make that much sense, or could be continued, also, did you hear about OOT coming to the 3DS?

Yes I did. I heard it's gonna be a launch title for the 3DS so I know I'm gonna pick it up with mine. It's nice to be able to play an actual remake of that wonderful game rather than a re-release or the same game with different dungeons. I can't wait. Nintendo already made one excellent port of an amazing N64 game for the DS with Super Mario 64 DS and hopefully Ocarina of Time 3DS will also be great.

Yeah Majora's mask did follow on Ocarina of Time and so did Wind Waker, but Wind Waker didn't even mention Majora's Mask which happened in between. A Successor to Majora's Mask will instantly become the most anticipated game to me since Fallout 3. I loved that game even more than Ocarina of Time.

I didn't like Majora's mask, because i felt rushed through out the entire game , as for Mario, yeah it was good, and with a Zelda on the run, that's twice as better

Yeah Majora's Mask is one of those games that you either adore or despise. I of course adore it.

yeah,i just hate having to rush through a game and not get to enjoy every little detail

Look on the bright side. It's not as bad as Wand of Gamelon or Faces of Evil. Brrrr those games were just awful. I would rather play Superman 64 than those games.

I'm not sure if that's possible. I think the government automatically puts you on a depopulation list for saying that. I know cause the same thing happened when my cousin said he enjoyed E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Video Game. Nobody's heard from him since. His mother's so worried

When i first saw the new art style i was like: whats this s*it, but now i've watched the trailer a few more times i think i like it, its unique. They said that the game would already be done if they used TP graphics again. lets just let them work on it for 6 more month and see the final result.

Finally, a new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii, but than i saw the graphics and that was not so pretty as the Twilight Princess.
I hope that the graphics, as the game released, much better is. But for now is the game great from the trailers. Let the game also great be as the trailer

As for the new Zelda game does anyone else find it odd that Link now holds his sword with his right hand instead of his left? At least that's what I saw on the first trailer (or thought I saw if I'm wrong).

I never really cared for where he held his sword since sword placement never really made the game for me. He could carry it with his hair for all I care (although that would make it incredibly funny). From what I've heard though Link's gonna officially be right handed in Skyward Sword since most people are right handed anyway. Why they don't just introduce an option for him to hold it right and left handed I don't know, but it's not like it would ruin the game.

What I'm really worried about are the rumors that they are gonna focus less on the story this time around in order to make it more "fun". Since when was Zelda not fun? That's kinda why the series is so adored by fans and critics alike. The story isn't the most important part of Zelda to me, but it's definitely REALLY REALLY REALLY close and important. If they just totally screw off the story me and a million other people are going to be pretty mad. I'd still buy it, but I doubt I would like it as much as I would've had it had a good story behind it.

Naw, I like this new style, and the best part about this game is the whip XD, how much you wanna bet me fangirls/boys are gonna be usin that in their art XD, lol, i wonder if Link'll be saving Zelda or something, and if Ganon will be in this, i really wish they'd bring back Vaati though , and i do agree with you on that, no story equals no buyers, i buy the games mostly for the story, but if there's just a little story i don't think ill mind that much
